Season of Love: Fundy Honda February Favourites
February 14, 2018
Valentine’s Day: either you love it or you hate it. There doesn’t really seem to be an in between. But just because we’re a business doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate this season of love. No, we’re not going to take you out for a romantic dinner date.
Valentine’s Day: either you love it or you hate it. There doesn’t really seem to be an in between. But just because we’re a business doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate this season of love. No, we’re not going to take you out for a romantic dinner date. We’re aren’t going to send a dozen roses. And we definitely aren’t going to propose to you. We’re going to celebrate in a bit of a different way – by sharing some of our current favourites for that you can maybe enjoy them as well.
Heated Mirrors & Seats
This time of year you never know what kind of weather you’re going to wake up to see out your window. We’ve had everything from rain to snow, sleet and sunshine – sometimes in a single day. But there’s nothing quite like chipping away at the ice on your windows, roof, and mirrors after a night of freezing rain. That why those tiny perks like heated mirrors and seats make you feel extra happy when you get out to your car. Turn on the heated mirrors feature to help get through that layer of ice with ease and your heated seats to warm up quickly after you’ve cleared your car.
The Canadian Olympic Team
Did you think we’d only talk about our car related favourites? No way! This month we’re loving more than just those road related items and one of those things is the Canadian Olympic Team. We spend a lot of our day talking about the performance and capabilities of our vehicles but we’re continually amazed by what our athletes are accomplishing. And even with the 12 hour time difference, we’re still setting our alarms just a little bit earlier than normal so that we can take advantage of some screen time watching some of the awesome skills being showcased in Pyeongchang. We’ll continue to watch with crossed fingers over the next few days.
Winter in the Saint John Area
There’s nothing like living in a community that offers such great opportunities for adventure – both inside and outdoors. Whether you want to ski, skate, shop, or sit, there’s something for everyone happening in Saint John and the surrounding communities this month. A few of our favourites include:
- Hiking in the Irving Nature Park where you can meets lots of other hikers, dogs, and wildlife along the way.
- Skating on the Rothesay Commons Ice Rink, an amazing community-oriented use of the open space in Rothesay.
- Hot Drinks at Rogue Coffee where you can sit for a bit to warm up after a walk or get some work done with a tasty treat. Check out their evening drink menu that includes some fun cocktails as well.
- Boutique Hopping in Uptown Saint John and finding that perfect, original item or gift. There are so many places to discover!
We won’t be open on February 19th because we’ll be spending the day with family and friends for the new holiday here in New Brunswick. Let’s be real, we could all use a nice break this time of year when things start to feel dreary with all the snow and cold temperatures. We hope you’re taking advantage of the extra day off this long weekend to do something you love with the people you love.
Last, but certainly not least, we’re loving road safety this season. Whether it’s having your emergency car kit all prepared and in your car or knowing the top safety tips so that you always arrive to your destination in one piece, we think it’s super important to be on top of things. One of those favourite features that helps is an all-wheel drive vehicle. It can give you that little extra push in a sticky or slick situation and can make you feel even safer on the roads this winter.
We’ve been loving a lot this season and we’d love to hear what you’re loving. Let us know by interacting with us on social media. It’s always exciting to hear from you!
